apreezy1 13 Posted January 15, 2012 Its been 2 weeks post.. Im starting to get antsy with ants in my pants to do something.. My doctor told me I could start walking so My question is. Do you think it would be okay to start walking on the treadmill and doing the elliptical at slow speeds and no incline?
elcee 3,341 Posted January 15, 2012 I'm sure that would be fine. Listen to your body, don't over do it and it won't cause any problems. Walking is one of the best exercises to start , what you do want to avoid is anything that strains the stomach muscles as you don't want to dislodge your port. B-52 7,113 Posted January 15, 2012 Need to follow your Dr.'s advice. I had a post-op meeting with him at 1 week, in which he turned to loose to do anything I wanted, including lifting weights. But that's me. You need to do what your Dr. tells you.
