Anyone else experienced this feeling.. I feel so guilty now.

Rachel, my doctor put me on mushies 2 weeks post-op, perhaps the fish without the crust would be better for your new stomach. I can have soft, not fried fish in the mushies stage. Good Luck!

Wow...seems way too soon for Captain Ds. I am 2 weeks out today. I can eat some regular foods but am pretty careful. Have made a couple of mistakes and have thrown it up - its all about learning lessons. I, for one, have to avoid all fast food because I don't do it in moderation. Still sticking to mushy stuff for the most part.

I'm a week post surgery and still on liquids. I won't even be on mushies for another 2 weeks. I would tend to agree with the others, I'm guessing the fish with the crust was just too much for your tummy to handle this soon. I'm sure it'll subside as the food slowly passes.

I know I feel uncomfortably full very easily right now. I had a cup of strained cream of chicken Soup a half hour ago, and I still feel like I just over-ate a Thanksgiving dinner. I'm that full.

Give your tummy a break tonight, walk if you can to help it move through faster, and maybe go a little gentler for a couple weeks.

I am a week and half post op and still on liquids. I would think fried foods might upset your stomach. Give it some time, I sure you would feel better soon. GL

I was banded on 12/21 and can eat soft foods as tolerated. I can only eat so much and then I get a full feeling and don't swallow so well. If I pushed through that and kept eating I think I would feel some of the things you are describing. I think by tomorrow you will feel better, however, I would portion out your food so you know how much your new pouch can comfortably handle. It feels like each new thing is a test for me. I can not do fried foods at all. The only meat I can eat right now is chili and I had a quesadilla with chicken that was kinda ground up. Good luck.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
