I think so- the quitting soda was the stressful thing I was worried about, so now I just have to worry about small bites, chewing ad nauseum (no pun intended) and not drinking with meals! LOL

Congrats! It was the best thing I ever did. I'm like you it has been hard to not drink during meals but you will find that once you get the band the things that made you gain weight won't be that hard to give up once you see the scale start to move. I am 4 weeks post-op today and have lost 22 pounds since surgery. Good luck!

i too just got my approval a few days ago. i will be banded on 1/23/12. im super nervous and excited all at the same time. Good Luck.

Congratulations on your approval! I quit soda cold turkey! I am proud of myself, you could say I was sorta addicted to it. No caffeine headache either! So happy I did! Have a good journey and keep updating! I'm being banded on the 19th! So excited! I have been working through the process since April, but I'm glad I did it that way it gave me a chance to get my head into the game too! Happy banding!
