Most people seem to be from the U.S.A

Most on here seem to be from the U.S.A. Some have had their bands fitted in Belgium and then find that they are not approved in the U.S. Has anyone from England had their band fitted in Belgium and then found a problem finding a fill doctor for the same reason?

Or are the bands in Belgium the same as the ones in England?

I had my band done in England (by the hospital group, the people who gave us the "supersize surgury" program). I have my fills done at the Thornbury hospital in Sheffield, who are not related to the hospital group in any way. As far as I'm aware, they will provide fills regardless of your band's origin.

Thank you for that. How much do they charge for the fills?:)

I got mine done through "the hospital group", and a floro-fill at the Thornbury hospital was 300 quid(!)

However, if you go directly through the thornbury hospital, it's "significantly cheaper" according to Dr Lee, the chap who'll do the fill.

I had my surgery in the UK at the "Healthier Weight Centre" part of the BMI hospital group.

It was a £7750 package which covered, pre-op diet products (their own)...the entire op...12 months post-op support and bandfills.

Their team is a consultant, a few nutrionists and support people and i can call them anytime for a chat if i am having problems....

They are very helpful and its been a positive experience the whole way through...very supportive.

Cheers

Jamie

A quid is one british pound, or appoximately 1.80 dollars. Its a slang term similar to the american use of the word "buck".
