myluv2drive 30 Posted June 19, 2012 Went for my 4 month checkup yesterday. Doctor says I am losing right on schedule and that I am doing great. Got .5cc fill for a total of 6cc's. He says my band will hold approx 12cc's but most people that he has seen reach their green zone between 6cc & 9cc. So I hope I am getting close to mine. I have been tight since fill yesterday so we will see. Only doing Protein Shakes and greek yogurt for today. Hope everyone else from Feb is doing good. luvbug0712 41 Posted July 1, 2012 So I'm 4 myths post op and I've lost a total of 30lbs even though I am happy with this loss I feel it should be more. I'm wondering how often I should be exercising? 1 myluv2drive reacted to this
sonnymom 8 Posted July 1, 2012 It's been a LONG time since I've last posted. I had lost 25 pounds since being banded, went on vacation and gained 5, then came back and lost 4. So, now I want to get back on track with exercise and diet. Question - what is Onderland? I've been enjoying reading of everyone's success, and am ready to get back on track and start losing again! Haven't updated my ticker, have to read those directions again.

It's quite a happy milestone to achieve...and place to be! 1 judych reacted to this
Sojourner 2,446 Posted July 1, 2012 So I'm 4 myths post op and I've lost a total of 30lbs even though I am happy with this loss I feel it should be more. I'm wondering how often I should be exercising? The number of days of the week, and the duration of recommended exercise varies widely from what I have read. Generally it also depends on your level of fitness. Some are able to do an hour a day for 5-6 days a week...others say 30 minutes 4-6 days a week. I have many issues with arthritis, and can only exercise in the pool...so I try to get a minimum of 1 hour 3 times a week. I know that is really not optimal, but it is the best I can do for now given my physical limitations. Best wishes as your journey continues...

luvbug0712 41 Posted August 3, 2012 So on July 19th I had another fill and my band has 5.3cc. Before getting another fill I felt like I was stuck and pretty much able to eat what I wanted. Well not anymore since my fill I've dropped 8lbs and i'm 16lbs away from ONEderland I am so happy with my choice to get a lapband
girleyq 14 Posted August 5, 2012 I went yesterday for my second fill, 2 cc. for a total of 6 cc. She said this should give me some help with how much I'm eating, as I am eating too much. I feel NO restriction whatsoever, so I'm hoping this helps. I'm ready to get some of these pounds OFF!! I'm not complaining about losing 35, but I'd like for it to be 70! I'm being patient! I really liked this new PA, not nearly like the meanie I had before, so maybe she is what I need to get a jump start. Hope everyone is doing well, and good luck! Horrible taste in my mouth today, won't go away, guess it's all part of the plan!
erica216 35 Posted August 22, 2012 Okay February bandsters I had my last fill 6 weeks ago but today my band was so tight that I barely could even drink anything and could not eat ant food.Did anyone else ever have this feeling?
Sojourner 2,446 Posted August 22, 2012 Yes...the restriction in my band does fluctuate, though not to the degree that you mention. My observations are that the amount of stress I feel (such as while driving) and the hot summer temperatures we are experiencing seem to make my band tighter...to a degree that I have had to relearn how to eat yet again. judych 225 Posted August 22, 2012 2 mths and 1 day since i was banded... I've lost a total of 26lbs since Feb 18th(day i started liquids). My band is currently filled at 4.4ccs but I don't notice more weight-loss. My clothes are more comfortable to wear and I was able to squeeze myself in to a size 18 jeans i haven't worn in 2 yrs but could only stand to be in the pants for 4hrs before it became uncomfortable. I've had some issues with stucks but i work throw them and learned ways to prevent them. I can't help but be discouraged I see so may other loosing large amounts of weight only 2-3 mths after being band. What am I doing wrong? I know I shouldn't eat carbs but it's so hard since i HATE veggies. Everyone tells me i look great so why can't i see it? I still get slightly hungry in between meals but i fill up on Water to help the craving. Whats the average amount of time between meals before you should feel hunger? I feel so lost like I've fallen off the wagon..... any diet suggestions greatly appreciated! your weight loss may not be as much as some but you are losing, even if its a bit slower. Personally i prefer the slower weight loss but i know we are all different. Ive found an answer to feeling hungry... high Protein soups... home made. using lentils, chick peas, split peas, onions, chicken stock. sometimes i add more substance to make the Soups thicker. i put grated parmeson on my soups as well.. sometimes i use garlic powder. I am a Soup lover so this has been easy for me. I have egg and bacon for breakfast... within a half hour of getting out of bed.. that helps me to get a kick start. some days i need to have four meals instead of three... its working. im down 42 pounds since march 22nd.... i hope this helps you a bit. Try not to be discouraged... i know that higher protein diets help me heaps. Maybe it will help you too??
luvbug0712 41 Posted August 24, 2012 Well since my last post I'm down to 212lbs I'm so close to ONEderland However since my last fill on July 19th eying has become pure misery. I cant drink large amounts at one time, I'm eating maybe 3/4cup of food and I'm throwing up pretty much after each meal. Recently I've been experiencing a pain while I eat and burp ALOT after food. Can the restriction cause gas or indigestion. Anyone else experience this?
