XTA 22 Posted February 7, 2012 Queen Bea you will get to used to the shakes. I drink Muscle Milk Light. I drink 2 a day and have a Lean Cuisine. I have 10 days until my surgery. The time goes by fast, but it is also slow because my surgery is always on my mind. I am so excited!! Good luck to you! 1 Queen Bea reacted to this

Bfoxes 6 Posted February 7, 2012 Hello my fellow Febs I am having my surgery on Feb. 20th. On the same day my sister-in law is having my first neice by c-section. Currently the family joke is that we are having dualing abdominal surgeries. I am kinda freaked out, scared, excited, nervous and wanting to chew anything and everything. My last meal before my pre-surg liquid diet was brie, salad & rack of lamb which I INHALED and have been dreaming about for the last two days. As much as my friends and family are supportive it's so great to see people who are going through this process and know exactly whats going on. I can't wait to get great advice and support my fellow banders.

jacqelyn49 3 Posted February 7, 2012 Friday, February 10th! Anxious but looking forward to it. Was the 6th but they postponed so my 2 week full liquid diet turned into 3! No problems however. I'm feeling great. Best of Luck to all the other Feb Bandsters!
Fit in my 60's 25 Posted February 7, 2012 Last week I ordered the book called Bandwagon by Jean McMillen which was recommended as a good read for bariatric patients. It finally came yesterday and it looks pretty good but I will never be able to read it all in time since my surgery is in the morning and it will be a good reference to have throughout this journey. It is a thick book and looks like it covers every question you could possibly have. If interested, you can find it by going to jean-onthebandwagon.blogspot.com/. She is a frequent contributor to this forum too. Wish me luck. Will let you know what it's like on the other side.
