Hi, I'm Mary. I just learned my paperwork will be submitted tomorrow to my insurance company for approval of the lap band procedure. Been working on it since November. I have done everything required with the exception of the dietician and the blood work.

Looking for info and support here and willing to share what I have learned if I think I might be able to contribute to a thread. Sounds like there are lots of great people here. :clap2:

Thanks for the warm welcome! I look forward to getting to know everyone. Guess I didn't say much about myself before. I am 58, live in Sarasota and work in the non-profit sector. We have two grown children and two grandsons and four more grandchildren by "proxy." Hubby & I own a machine shop as well.

I've been researching WLS seriously since last October - have a BMI of 41. I am 5'1" and weigh 220...arrrrg.....that's hard to say.. :phanvan But.. hopefully I won't be saying that much longer.
