i did broth for the first 7 days, then went to cream of Tomato, potato Soups. i know it sucks, but you are healing and need to adhere to the instructions on eating the doctor gives you. i was so happy to have Soup after a week of broth and Jello. go to lapband.com and there alot of recipes for all the stages.

My nutritionist advised me to eat sugar free Jello, sugar free pudding and sugar free applesauce. I may drink low calorie drinks or diet drinks. I may not have soda or drinks with sugar. Protein Shakes like Isopure, Designer whey, Carnation Instant Advantage no sugar added, Atkins Advantage, Carb Solutions, optisource High Protein Drink. Protein Shake must be whey Protein, fat free and have less than 5g carb per cerving. broth. If I am really hungry I may have a lean cusine. But I must say I feel dizzy when I don't eat. I do have type 2 diabetes so I drank oj and that seemed to help. I am not on a clear liquid diet though.

You can eat anything that you can "see through" if it was melted. chicken broth, Beef broth, homemade Soup broth, sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello......don't eat "Cream of" until you are told by the dietician or doctor, about 2 weeks then you will go to "Soft foods" then other foods. You will get a fill then go back on Clear Liquids for a few days.

The first week was clear liquids, week 2 was cream Soups, Protein Shakes (still all liquid), week 3 was soft food, mushies and week 4 was normal food (small portions and small pieces, chewed thoroughly).

I just had a fill on Friday and haven't been able to eat much of anything at all with it. I suggest very soft Soups, not a lot of noodles. broth types for at least a couple days. Then I moved into pudding, mashed potatoes. I kind of treat it like right after surgery. I just don't wait the long amount of time in between to switch stages. Since each person is at a different phase, I'd say buy a little of each and once you figure out what you can and can't eat, you can always go back for more! Just don't overdue it.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
