Txblue_eyedqt 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Hi, I have been dragging butt here lately... I need some help/advice on what I can do to boost my energy level...when I get home from work I just dont have the energy to go workout and I really want to keep this incorporated into my everyday life. Do I need to eat something different? I get plenty of sleep, so any help would be lovely!! thank you :faint:
HeatherGurl 0 Posted February 15, 2006 I know this sounds silly, but once you start working out... you will have more energy to work out... You might have to drag butt for a couple of days... but once you get started you will have a lot of energy to keep you going.
vinesqueen 2 Posted February 15, 2006 Well, you need to make sure you are getting enough calories. When I was too tight, I was only able to manage about 700 calories and I was really dragging butt. Heather makes a very good point, that you will have more energy once you start working out. Of course, it is cold and flu season, so maybe you caught a bug... CCBSTX 0 Posted February 16, 2006 I agree with Vines. Look at your calorie intake and what you are eating (hopefully Protein first). Also, keep taking your vitamins...Shawn
Rae 2 Posted February 16, 2006 Try having a Protein Shake. I still have a shake every day. If my DH needs energy late in the afternoon he has one of my shakes. He says it gives him a boost.
Txblue_eyedqt 0 Posted February 16, 2006 What kind of Protein Shake? any suggestions?
Rae 2 Posted February 16, 2006 I like Champion Nutrition Pure whey Stacked....ordered from vitalady.com It is mixed with Water and each scoop has 26 grams of Protein, 1-3 grams of sugar depending on flavor, 1.5 grams of carbs. It mixes well with just a fork (no blender needed)
Jammin & Losin 1 Posted February 17, 2006 Get you some B12 losenges.... They melt in your mouth in 3 seconds and are a great energy source!!! Also up your intake of protein.. this could help also!
Jachut 487 Posted February 17, 2006 Plenty of fresh fruit and veges too and take your Vitamins. I really think lack of energy can be a sign of being a bit too tight - you may not be PBing or having pain but if you cant eat enough to feel normal perhaps that's something to think about. Of course it might only be necessary to pay more attention to the quality of your diet, not the quantity.
