Deedee 0 Posted February 20, 2006 I went for my first fill 02-15-06. I have lost 10 lbs since my banding on 01-13-06. I got 2cc for my first fill. hope to see some major weight loss now. My next appt is set for April....but I have two weeks in LAS VEGAS...buffet city. I find my self grazing all day long and I am really working on 3 meals. any help would be accepted. See you soon
PhotoNut 7 Posted February 20, 2006 Hiya DeeDee, My adivce would be to make sure youre eating enough Protein. Try to eat about every three hours. Small meals, avoid carbs because they are quickly burned up by the body and you'll be looking for more fuel in no time. If you do go to the buffets, choose chicken and some veggies. Eat very slowly and don't drink while you're eating. Maybe have someone else go up to get your food so you dont have to face all of the temptations? If you'll be with friends or family, maybe they would be willing to bring back an extra small plate and share a bit with you since they can get more. I hope youre fill gives you all the restriction you need before you go. Best of luck to you!
the best me 6 Posted February 20, 2006 Congrats on your banding DeeDee! Yep, be careful of grazing. You will end up getting in wayyy too many calories this way unless you are careful. Plan ahead. Eat solid protiens first (chicken is the best!) and then if you have room, eat other things. Keep it healthy, especially in Vegas!! Now that you are filled, you should feel a difference in your hunger and you should get fuller faster. Be careful, eat slowly and carefully until you see how this band fill will work for you. Hang in there! Congrats on the 10 pounds! Here's to more!!
