shay33 18 Posted December 27, 2011 I am just wondering if anyone had this happen before surgery? The day after the surgeon scheduled my surgery (Jan 3) the upper part of my stomach started to hurt. It gets better if I take antacids but it still worries me. I called my regular doctor but they said if I did not have it before it is probally stress and worry about the surgery. I am just worried I have a hernia and it will stop me from surgery. I really dont want to put the surgery off anymore. I am ready to start my new life. Humming Bird 275 Posted December 27, 2011 Sounds like nerves to me. Try to focus on the positive things about your future.
horsegirl315 114 Posted December 27, 2011 Hi shay, from what u have heard, a hernia does not postpone surgery...it is something they usually fix during the surgery. Your Dr is probably right, I know I will be nervous before my surgery, its probably stress or anxiety related.
