shakey88 37 Posted December 26, 2011 I have a 16 year old sister and she got a couple pair of new jeans for Christmas. She was trying them on and had a hard time getting them buttoned. The last size I bought were a size 14 and these were juniors size 13, so I said let me try them on. They went on with no problem and were lose at the waist. My mom even said they looked better on me. Needless to say, she was not happy at all, especially when she read my Facebook status that said "Best Christmas present is knowing I can fit into my 16 year old sister's jeans!" She told me I was embarrassing and she was starting her diet tomorrow, forget the first of the year! 1 carymom reacted to this

elcee 3,342 Posted December 26, 2011 My skinny 22year old daughter can no longer fit into my jeans so I know how great you feel. However when it comes to dresses there are some my daughter can get into which I can't. I am smaller around the hips and butt, she is smaller around the middle. shakey88 37 Posted December 26, 2011 I honestly believe that it is because of the exercise. I do the Wii fit for at least 45 mins a day, resistance training of some sort (free weights or bands, I just got a medicine ball for Christmas that I can not wait to try out) and 45 mins of cardio a day. I try to make sure my calories are between 1000 and 1200 each day and that I am getting my Protein. That is really about it. If I want something though, I do not deny myself of it or I find I will want it until I have it. Exercise is key though Yay! Congrats! lakegirl88 13 Posted December 26, 2011 My best Christmas present and NSV was getting up yesterday for Church, and putting on a regular size 14 pair of jeans ( a little big) and a cute VS top. Then I put my super cute Victoria Secret hoodie with angle wings on the back, borrowed my daughters super cute scarf. And off to Mass I went, it felt so good..... I am truley blessed to have made it this far. Thank you God and band for helping me get here.

mdlapband 30 Posted December 26, 2011 P.S. My husband wants to know how quickly you started working out after the surgery? (we both got banded on the same day - so you're actually inspiration to both of us!)

shakey88 37 Posted December 27, 2011 Well thank you very much...six weeks. My doctor did not want me working out until then. I started with walking a mile and it has increased from there. P.S.
