I am going to have to pull out this time. I am going to be gone on vacation and will not be back in time to shop and get it shipped off. I hope everyone has a great time and gets lots of cool things. Besides I have someone on the board that also loves Disney so I will send her something from the parks when I get back. I still get to play bunny, it's just not a surprise. ~Mandy

This is my first gift exchange of this type, can you guys give me some guide lines, like what range is acceptable to spend on the gifts etc.?

The other exchanges had a $10 minimum. I think any gift from the heart is enjoyed. In the first exchange, participants gave a brief list of ideas. The host of the exchange changed this time, so she may have other ideas for how she'd like to organize things. We'll need to hear from her on this. The main requirements from the other exchanges was to thank the sender, so they know you got it, don't sign up if you aren't going to follow through (some folks got shafted the first time), and post a picture of the gift you receive if you can.

I'm going to have to say not me this time:cry

Please note that it is not because I didn't receive anything from the Valentines exchange. It is because Money is VERY tight right now. Lots of medical stuff going on right know and The Dr. want their money. damn them!! :angry

I will catch you on the next exchange.:clap2: These are SO much fun!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
