newlifetexas 0 Posted December 15, 2011 Newbie here, just had my surgery yesterday. Surprisingly no real pain other than slight soreness and a little hungry. I have read that after a couple of days you can have cottage cheese, on a complete liquid now for some time and really feeling the pressure. Any tips? Cazzy 725 Posted December 15, 2011 Every Surgeon requires different things post-op it might be better for you to contact them or their nutritionist .. we all got different advice and guidelines after surgery so would be hard to advise you . I was on liquid for 4 weeks post op and then mushy for 4 weeks, liquid was classed as anything you could drink, cottage cheese here would have been classed as a mushy
journeytohealth 1 Posted December 15, 2011 Hello newbie!! I too was banded on dec 13th. I've been on Clear Liquids (which really hasn't been a prob like pre-op). Today I can move to thicker liquids but I'm really not having an appetite. I'm VERY sore and it's a struggle gettin in/out of the bed. Are you having similar difficulties? newlifetexas 0 Posted December 15, 2011 I woke up after the surgery really happy to be alive, so i was walking from the get go. I was a little sore yesterday from the gas, but feeling a lot better today. My throat is probably the worse from the air tube. Really have not needed my meds for pain as of yet, so I guess I am lucky. Was hungry last night, but good this morning, drinking my bariatric shake.
