well i have 8 in my band currently,

if i eat at a normal/fast pace i will throw up, but if i eat at the "band" speed i do not throw up but i can eat a whole plate of food, what's wrong here, i feel like the band is tight because if i eat normally or dont chew well i puke, but if i chew well and eat slowly i can eat way too much... any ideas?

need some advice, before i call the doc.

Its interesting you say that because I'm a bit the same. I havent PBd ever yet but I do get discomfort if I eat too fast (ie. normally) but like you I find if I eat slowly I eat what I consider too much.

What I have noticed though is that I finish my meal (which is good bandster size, that's just what I serve myself) and still feel I'd like a bit more but if I wait, in about 10 minutes that feeling just goes away and I dont want it anymore. I dont know how to explain it, somehow I "know" when to stop without any warning signal from my body that I could put my finger on, but that comes before my head says its ready, therefore I have this "hmm, maybe a little dessert?" feeling. But like I said, 10 minutes and that's gone and I know I'm full.

The thing is I think a lot of people still look for and expect that really "full" feeling like you used to have after you've finished a huge meal. I find that now, fullness to me isnt what it was, I cant achieve that feeling because my lower stomach isnt that full, but there's just a different kind of feeling that tells me to stop, but I really cant describe it, its just something I know. Do you think you could be failing to read your body's signals and eating past that?

You just need a fill, that's all. Your opening is too big and the food slips right through. No big deal. Call your doctor and get a fill and then you'll understand what I'm talking about better.

Yes, a fill will make a big difference, it will be uncomfortable at first, but it has helped my weight loss take off. I am on the 3rd week since my fill and I am finally able to take a couple bites of meat with out getting sick, but I am glad I didn't get an unfill. My first fill did not help that much because he had to take some out. This is my second fill and it is working.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
