Ashleigh'sMom 4 Posted December 12, 2011 I am so excited and thought I would share...down 23 pounds in 20 days!!! I was banded on Nov. 22nd, and didn't have to do a pre-op diet. My surgeon said he was very impressed with my progress! I have one more week of soft foods, then transition back to regular foods. A little worried...hoping I will continue to be able to lose at this rate. 1 cutecamille reacted to this

elcee 3,341 Posted December 12, 2011 It is unlikely that you will continue to lose at this rate, that would be unrealistic and unhealthy. It is natural for your weight loss to slow down and when it does you shouldn't get depressed or despondent. What you are having now is a head start or boost. Normal weight loss should be 1 - 2lb per week. You may sometimes lose more than that but you shouldn't expect to on a regular basis. Congrats on your weight lost so far. PJ384 3 Posted December 12, 2011 Congrats on your progress and don't even worry about it you got a head start and all you have to do is follow a good healthy diet make sure you get plenty of Protein and lots of Water andeven if you slow down that fine like the above post says 1 to 2 pounds a week is best if you lose a lot to soon it may mean your starving your body and only bad things come from that like the Hair loss people talk about so just stay the course and be good to yourself and the scale will keep going down and thats all that matters the direction not the speed :-)
