didn't your doctor give you this information? I don't get why you are asking this, call your doctor. After my first fill i went 2 days on all liquids and then the third day mushies and the 4th back to regular foods, but call your DR...

You'll quickly find out that everyone's doctor is different! My doctor does not have any restrictions after a fill. Just chew well. I had my third fill yesterday, I'm up to 6.2 cc's now. I haven't really been hungry so I choked down an egg for Breakfast and had some Cereal for lunch.< /p>

For my first few fills, there were no restrictions.

However after #3, I was told liquids for 2 days, then mushies 1 day, then regular foods.

If our doctor didn't say, take it easy and do liquids today at least.

Hi Mimi!

I was banded in July and was on liquids 7 days pre op, 7 days post op. Two weeks after surgery I got mushies and 7 days after that (4th week) I was able to eat soft foods. My doctor took my fills slow and small so I didn't fill restriction until my last fill which was about 3 weeks ago and I think it was like my 5th fill. So the 4 previous fills I had I never felt any difference. Number 5 was the one. At least my doctor would see me every 2 or 3 weeks so I wasn't having to wait a long time in between times. He always tells me, after each fill, to go easy and eat a pudding consistancy for 5 days afterward. If you're feeling hungry you don't have restriction. Thats one of the signs that you are still in the green zone. Hope that helps. Good luck to you!

While it is wise to ask your doctor these questions, this IS a forum. And you are free to ask whatever you like :) especially since I'm finding that every doctor says something different... My doc told me to do liquids that same day, then mushies the following day, and onto solids..

My doctor has me sign a form each time I have a fill and the form has instructions such as for me to stay on Clear Liquids for 48 hours. But my previous doc only had me on liquids for 24 hours after a fill.

I think it depends of how big of a fill, my first fill I got 1.6 cc and the instructions were to do clear liquids for one day, more condense liquids the second day, and soft food the 3rd day. My second fill was 2.6 and I had to follow the same schedule but 3 days each stage.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
