New Years Eve Dress Size....

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery on September 8th and I've lost 21 pounds and I have 6ccs in my band. I feel that I am doing really good with the exception of not working out as often as I should. My question is I would like to get an estimate of how much more weight I could lose before New Years Eve? I would like to lose at least 20 more pounds, is that possible? I was stuck at 200 for a few weeks but now I have hit onederland after Thanksgiving and it seems like I can feel my body losing again. Whoohoo..I would love to rock the dress on New Years 2012....Good luck everyone!! Lets do this!!!

Graph your weight and then make an educated guess. Graph weight and days (or weeks if that is how often you weight). I'll bet you'll come pretty close ;-)

That would be about 5 pounds a week for 4 weeks in a row. Not to be a debbie downer but that seems to be a pretty unrealistic goal.

Its taken you three months to lose 21 pounds and New Years Eve is four weeks away I would say that unless you starve yourself that would be impossible unless you buy it in a bigger size

Why not just wait until the week between Christmas and New Years to shop? Everything should be on sale then too. If you don't want to wait, find the dress you want and buy it in 2 sizes. Leave the tags on and save the receipt and return the one that doesn't fit.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
