nanga62 0 Posted November 18, 2011 Hi Everyone, On Surgery date I was 224 lbs and I had surgery on September 23, 2011 and I have lost 19 lbs already, it has been a tough journey but I am making it. I need to exercise more but I just don't have the time, with work and school I have hardly enough time for myself. I walk 18 blocks every morning, and I walk my dog twice a day, but I really need to go to a gym, I just have to find the time. Sandra Aponte
readytogoforit 172 Posted November 18, 2011 glad to hear you are walking. keep that going! try to walk fast for part of the time. usually it is recommended to sweat some! when you get more time, start doing more, don't worry about it now. sounds like you are losing weight so you must be doing well with your eating, good for you. this is a day by day lifestyle change that will be the best one we have ever made. glad you have joined the "group" there's a lot of information here!! Corrigan 75 Posted November 18, 2011 If you go to Walmart and buy a couple of weights you can handle, with your walking, you'll have almost everything a gym can offer, and save $600 a year (maybe throw in an extra dollar for a jump rope). 1 Heather B. reacted to this
SkinnyMiniMe 63 Posted November 19, 2011 Get the FitBit. I am really excited to try it out. It will be my Christmas gift to myself. It will tell you how many steps you take and what you burn. You can upload it to your computer and it will give you charts of your activity and you can track what you eat so you know you are burning more than what you are taking in. Look it up check it out ...it will be cheaper than the gym but you must keep moving.
