I was banded Nov 1st and so far so good. I am still sore around the port area but other than that no problems. Down 16lbs and 2 sizes.

Still mostly eating the mashed foods but slowly starting to add solids. I feel a ton better now that I am off of liquids and starting to get some food in me. I was really weak and just dead tired.

I decided to get banded because of health reasons more so than because I was overweight...diabetes, heart disease, liver disease. I have never struggled with my weight even after my 4 kids until a year or so after my hysterectomy. I tried for years on my own to get rid of the weight and nothing worked. It took me a long time to give up and move forward with LapBand.

Looking forward for the first fill on the 30th.
