NicoleMP 4 Posted November 15, 2011 Hi guys! I'm a bit curious about something. I have read a ton of blogs and it appears that everyone is put on different post op diets and I have also read that many people have had different weight loss. I was wondering if maybe the post op diet has anything to do with the way you lose weight in the long run. My diet right now is 2 weeks liquids (no sugar), 1-2 weeks mushies then solids. What were some of your diets and how much have all of you lost? -N
Kellysue 7 Posted November 15, 2011 I am almost two weeks out and almost lost 30 pounds. Last friday I went to a basically normal diet, but softer foods. I am in the camp of eat anything but keep it under 1000 calories. I eat healthy and am losing. I don't get enough Protein though. I am working on it.

NicoleMP 4 Posted November 15, 2011 Thanks for the response KellySue. What was your diet at first? What have the stages been?
Kellysue 7 Posted November 15, 2011 I was a week liquid, one week full liquid/mushie, then what I am now which I don't think it has a name. It's not regular, but I think they call it full.
Cindy C 150 Posted November 15, 2011 My doctor did not require a pre-op diet although I took it upon myself to go on one and lost about 15 pounds. My post op diet was 2 weeks of Clear Liquids followed by 2 weeks of full liquids then gradually added solids. After a fill I am on full liquids for 12-24 hours. I have lost 151 pounds in 3 1/2 years (115 the first year).
