lakegirl88 13 Posted November 10, 2011 Great for you. How did you start running? I have always wanted to be a runner. I do a ton of Zumba but I think I need to mix it up. I would like to lift weights and run. When is the 5K? 1 NYdad reacted to this
thebandedman 3 Posted November 10, 2011 3 miles is great! I plan to start the couch to 5K program at the first of the year. I should be healed enough by then to bounce my stomach while jogging . Not to worry I'll have my compression shirt on when I jog. If all goes well I'll be ready to run a 5K in April. TBM 1 NYdad reacted to this

My friends neglected to mention its actually 8k but hey. I will give it my all and with their help, who knows, maybe I can do it..(.hmmm?) We will see. Jachut 487 Posted November 12, 2011 If you can run 5, the race day adrenaline will get you through the last 3, lol. Fantastic achievement, running was always the main goal, I always imagined that feeling of triumph as I crossed a finish line. I didnt quite imagine myself crossing first, lol, and I dont think THAT will ever happen but we are competing against ourselves first and foremost. 1 NYdad reacted to this
