Ok, I've only lost about 1 pound in the past 6-weeks, I am still exercising and watching what I eat. The doctor told me I was not getting enough Protein, so for the past 2-weeks I've increased my protein by about 30 grams per day and guess what? I'm still only 1 pound down! I have had 2 fills and only at 3cc's in my 11cc band. When I go for the fill, he makes me drink and I feel stuck so he pulls some out and I can feel it go right down. I don't understand why I am at a stand still!! Any ideas?

I suggest light weight/high rep weight lifting.....and as much cardio as you can stand before you feel light headed.....(dont pass out though).....

I also workout early in the morning on an empty stomach....I see great benefit in that.....

I also do a lot of lightweight / high rep training and exercise bike, i was very insulin resistant so had to eat first and then exercise after to help my sugar levels. I eat around 1000 calories a day and eat 50 grm protien fresh food and no processed food . It does work for me but we are all different. Keeping a food dairy of calories in and calories burned is one way of seeing where u may be having problems, others on here use the fitness pal site. Sometimes its just a case of trial and error. I have been lucky and found a formula/mix of exercise and food that is working for me but if it stops before my goal i will try something different.

Some people can eat just small portions of 'normal' food and like me some can't , u mention u are 'watching' what u eat but u dont say what u are eating so maybe the clues are there. I do feel for you it must be very disappointing to not get the weight loss u want. Just keep at it and maybe wipe the slate clean and start over doing something different food wise and exercise wise, i know sometimes our bodies need a good shock to get them to do what we want them to.

I hope you find a solution :)

Whenever I hit a plateau I started doing a diet /exercise log. Just to see what the input/output was. I think each time it motivated me to get a fill even if it was a tiny one. I should have put exercise in quotes since I never did more than some dog walking...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
