twinklefeather 0 Posted November 10, 2011 Hi everyone, This is my first time posting here, although I've been lurking and learning for a few weeks, now. I completed my pre-op journey, and had my Lap Band surgery today! Before surgery, I've lost a total of 14 pounds. My goal is to lose another 98 (and more, eventually). Surgery went really well. I arrived at the hospital at 5:30, did my preop stuff, and surgery started at 7:30. I woke up in recovery at about 10:00. My surgeon said it was textbook, and that everything went really well. I left the hospital at 2:30 in the afternoon. My belly is swollen and sore, and it's hard to bend over, but I can't complain! I've been up and walking around for most of the day, including going to the grocery store (with help) to pick up some chicken broth, V-8, and juice. Anyways, I just thought I ought to introduce myself. Thanks! ~Twinkle
LB4Me 35 Posted November 10, 2011 Welcome. Sounds like your surgery went well. Remember to get planty of fluids and walk around as much as you can. If your Dr. allows it, Protein helps the healing process.
