Fat-2-Phat 1 Posted November 8, 2011 Yes, I went through 6 months of dr supervised nutrition classes, sleep study, psych eval, x-rays, blood work, etc. I'm glad that it took six months because during this time I became more knowledgeable of what I'm doing, why I'm doing this, what to expect, and to just feel much more comfortable with the entire process. I didn't want a quick approval process. I feel I'm more prepared and ready to undergo surgery, deal with the post-surgery issues and begin my new lifestyle. Good luck to everyone! MrsMoretti 0 Posted November 29, 2011 do you know if they are really strict on the exact 6 months thing? because no where in there policy does it state 6 months it just says failed attemps of documented weight loss.... atleast for triwest

Regnu 9 Posted December 4, 2011 It looks like it depends what tricare area you have. I am in Tricare South and they do not require a 6 month preop diet. I can't understand why they are different you would think they would all be the same.
