Hungrybetty 0 Posted November 7, 2011 wondering if anyone has heard if this type of drink is ok? I know slimfast is a nono but i've never heard anything about this one. Its H.E.B brand Opti-Meal. Any advice is welcome!
kate82955 0 Posted November 7, 2011 I use Vi-Shape by Visalus. It is a nutritionally perfect shake, and you make it taste anyway you want... love it. It also is very affordable. I had my band done 2 years ago but only discovered ViSalus 3 months ago. check out the website www.visalus.com or www.myvi.net/katelm Good luck
Dulci 108 Posted November 7, 2011 My doctor's office said that the Visalus shakes don't have enough Protein. I'm supposed to look for shakes that are at least 20 g protein per serving. I like Jay Robb and they aren't part of a multi-level marketing company.
kate82955 0 Posted November 8, 2011 The quality of the Protein is what is important not the amount. There are Protein drinks out there that have 40 gms of Protein but if your body doesnt use it, it does you no good. The Tri sorb protein in ViSalus were specially designed to help you retain and build lean muscle and burn fat. Other brands use Gelatin, milk powder or other Proteins that may be great for skin or hair or nails but wont help you burn fat or boost muscle. The Vi-Shape shake mix helps to keep your blood sugars level and keep you from getting hungry. It also is alot less expensive than the relatively comparable products on the market. As for the multi level marketing dig... so what if you buy it from a person instead of a store..... direct marketing is becoming the fastest growing job market in the world... And if you don't believe that ask anyone who sells Avon, Partylite Candles, Pampered Chef, Lia Sophia, Herbalife.... the list goes on and on.
motivatedlap 8 Posted November 9, 2011 i'm using a soy Protein, which has been show in some studies to speed up the metabolism of the thyroid which helps with weightloss, along with a lot of other good things. i don't know if this is true or not though. it's only 10g of protein per serving, but it's a tiny scoop, so if you were to use the same amount of it as one of the other brands' serving size, it think it would easily be 20g or more. it's called nutrilite and it's from amway, yeah another one of those multi-level marketing things, but i'm with kate82955- so what? i don't care who sells it as long as it's good for me and fills me up.
