suemile 3 Posted December 12, 2011 Thanks for asking this question. I was thinking the same thing. I LOVE popcorn and I couldn't understand why I couldn't eat it. It's nice to hear so many of you all don't have any problems with it. I've only had the band for a month, so I'm a little new to the lingo. What does a "slider" food mean? Melissannde 41 Posted December 13, 2011 That maybe why our Nuts are advising to avoid popcorn.. it's a slider and we can eat way more than we should. Also if you're talking movie popcorn, if you get the butter on it, it's deadly (re: calories). Slider foods are things that slide on down past the band and don't contribute to a feeling of satisfaction or fullness. The 100 calorie microwave bags are good, but I worry about all the extra chemicals in them. You can do your own microwave bag.. take a brown lunch bag, spritz the inside with olive oil, add 2 Tbspn popping corn, fold down the top and microwave for about a minute (adjust for your oven). Take out and spray with "I can't believe it's not butter" type spray and enjoy!!
bobrocky 8 Posted December 13, 2011 I eat it all the time. I seem to lose weight faster if popcorn is my snack food.< /p>
Veronica.N 18 Posted December 26, 2011 My band is about 1/2 way filled and I can eat popcorn easily, but I do have issues eating bread and fries.
Thee-O 15 Posted December 28, 2011 I don't eat it often but I do snack on it at the movies. Never had a problem with it.
pen527 6 Posted December 29, 2011 I don't eat popcorn at all. My theory is that it expands if you drop it in the sink (water) and I'm afraid that it'll stretch my pouch. Not only that, but my doctor would have a fit if he knew I was eating carbs.
