Anwyn 0 Posted February 17, 2006 A coffeemaker in the bathroom.... that... is pure... genius!!!! That's right up there with moving the laundry room from the basement to the second floor. Some weinie medical student tried to tell me at a follow-up visit that I shouldn't drink coffee anymore. I just gave him a dirty look and tattled to my band doc (who said a few cups a day was fine). K@t 38 Posted February 17, 2006 hehehehehe :clap2: u guys crack me up with ur coffee. Fortunatly I don't have a coffee addiction. In fact, I'm a social coffee drinker because here in Portugal, most people have an expresso after their meals as sort of an after dinner drink. Sometimes I'll have one too, but not often. My problem is going to be giving up soda I LOVE my diet coke. :nervous (of course when you read they wash blood off the highway with the same active ingrediants as in coke it makes u wonder what it's doing to your insides :ermm ) Any way, I have a feeling I'll be drinking flat coke if I can get away with it! 3loves 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Oh my....what would I give up first....chocolate or coffee? That would be a tough one. Keep in mind, I'm only referring to 1-2 hersey kisses and not the entire bag. I have not heard anything as of yet that I need to give up coffee, but I could go with green tea for awhile if I had to. Is green tea less acidic than coffee? I just discovered Folgers chocolate Silk coffee and have been drinking it like it's a dessert. :rolleyes I have gone from one cup of coffee a day to 3 or 4. I've become addicted to this new coffee in such a short period of time. Maybe I'll get tired of it by the time my surgery comes around.
Papillon 0 Posted February 22, 2006 I drank coffe about one month post op and it gave me the jitters so bad and made my heart speed. I didn't realize the effect it would have on me, so I've decided to give it up completley. I prefer some green tea now. coffee is hard on your stomach even for people that aren't banded. I say -to each their own!!!
