Losing_It150 6 Posted October 30, 2011 Right now is what people like to call "bandster hell" which is when you have healed from surgery, swelling has gone down and you have little to no restriction from your band. I had the same thing and right now is all based on your own will power.....you have to stop thinking I can eat like I did and keep the pre op/post op diet fresh in your mind....I can only eat this much and stop yourself. Don't let the "I can eat again food monster invade your thoughts" bc he will and I think that monster is the cause of a lot of post op weight gain. My loss since surgery has been SLOOOOOOWWW and I just had my first fill Friday. Are you scheduled for your first fill?

Lisa1967 0 Posted October 30, 2011 I was banded Aug 22, and I was going through the same thing you are going through, except I wasn't paying attention. But my husband was and mentioned it to me. Luckily I didn't gain but I did see-saw. I had my first fill this past friday and has made a difference. yes nov 14 is my appointment I dont want to go back in there and I gained or lost none at all. Dawn200321 146 Posted October 30, 2011 I would not worry. My surgen told me that some people do gain weight the first six weeks after surgery. They are just more concerned if you are healing properly. I am sure once you get a fill you will not be eating nearly as much!
Losing_It150 6 Posted October 31, 2011 Don't worry but I would he careful and mindful. I can tell a big difference after my first fill, Thank goodness!
NYdad 21 Posted October 31, 2011 nah, dont stress, its normal to eat alot that soon after surgery. I didnt feel restriction for a while and multiple fills. Its different for everyone. Dont sweat it. It sucks but its normal.
