Hello everyone, I have been banded for 3 months now and have lost 33 pounds. I waited a very long time to have this surgery because I never seemed to have insurance that would cover the surgery, but it was the best thing that I ever did no matter what the out of pocket cost is. Not only have I seen changes in myself I have seen changes in my husband and daughter, which is great. I think the hardest thing for me to get them to stop doing was asking me if I wanted a bite of their wonderful food and shoving it in my face. Another issue is them asking can you have this? It sometimes drives me nuts. Anyway. I live in Olathe KS which is just south of Kansas City and I have a husband and daughter. I currently am out of work but am enjoying being Mom. I also attend school to finish my Bachelors degree in HR, so I seem to be in a stage in my life that desires to make all sorts of improvements. I enjoy going to the gym and riding motorcycles, love the beach and theme parks. I found this site because I seem to have gotten stuck in my weight loss and needed information on how to kick start my body into losing again. I am really glad you all are out there and are going through this with me. Cheers to us.
