MiciRose 0 Posted October 27, 2011 I had my surgery on March 16 this year. I have lost approximately 2 pounds per week. I have lost 61 to date. Over the last couple of month I have been stuck with having to be filled and unfilled. I am stuck in a 4 pound range. I have been having problems with having foods getting stuck and having to drink Water to get it out of my esophagus and into my stomach. What is going on. Has any one else had this problem and what do I need to do?
Jenn1214 120 Posted October 27, 2011 Are you having problems with all foods or just certain ones? If everything is getting stuck I would go back to the doc for a slight unfill. The more you get stuck the more you will turn to slider foods and gain weight (my fiance's cousin has this exact problem).
kelly75 5 Posted October 27, 2011 Im having the same thing happening to me now..had my 2nd fill end of aug this year, and I do believe im to tight..i have gone to some sliders just to get something down, i have not gained any weight as of yet, and i have lost 15 lbs since that fill, but now im just at a stand still..i wish i would of went in for a slight unfill, but im self pay and it is 250$ for that..im dealing with it the best i can now by pretty much eating the same foods that WILL go down..fish..oatmeal..string cheese..protein shakes..i have noticed that its finally loosing up for me some days..but i will make sure i do not get overfilled in the future.. My thinking was that this band is supposed to give restriction so I slowed down my eating and learned a new way of eating with the band. It has helped for me. I am very tight, but I really like it that way.
