Cigna Approval Process

Has anyone been told that only their surgeon's office can call to check the status of their approval/denial? They won't give me any information and I'm starting to get frustrated :0(

My doctors office put my referral in to Cigna on Wednesday 10/26 and I was called today and was told I was approved..

Yes, the ins co-ordinator is usually willing to call for you after a certain time frame.
