Mom2twinboys1515 0 Posted October 25, 2011 I just had my first fill today and it was dramatic! It didn't hurt at all, but I was poked with 6 different needles because they could not get the saline to go through my port. It was like something was blocking it. The radiologist has been doing fills an working with lap band patients for 10 years and had never seen anything like it. After calling my surgeon, who had also never experienced this problem, they had no answer for me. The radiologist said he was going to try one more time (mind you this is 2.5 hours into dilemma), he had me change positions onto my back and it was like magic....the saline finally started going through! I was in tears thinking I just went through the surgery, liquid diet, life changing experience for nothing! It was horrible emotionally. Buy, thank goodness it all worked out. Mom2twinboys1515 0 Posted October 25, 2011 I feel perfect now it was all emotional! No pain at all...even the numbing shot wasn't painful. I'm just happy my radiologist kept trying and didn't give up!
