LapBandErin1026 0 Posted October 24, 2011 Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 29 years old, single, and having Lap-Band surgery Wednesday October 26th. I'm very excited about the surgery but also a little nervous at the same time. I've struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and have also had a Binge Eating Disorder. I hoping the LapBand is the tool that will help me get down to a healthy weight. My highest weight ever was 294 lbs. I started my liquid diet at 241 and I'm now down to 231. I hoping to lose a couple more pounds before Wednesday.

JerseyGirl80 12 Posted October 24, 2011 Hi Erin, congratulations on your decision. I'm a recovering binge eater myself. So far my band has been a life saver, I can no longer binge eat. I do still want to on occasion, but no where near as often as I used to. The best part is that my band doesn't allow me to binge when those cravings start. The other night I said "screw it" and I decided to binge a little... I am laughing just thinking about it because my "binge" eating the other night consisted of an extra cracker and a second laughing cow cheese, which I couldn't finish btw lol. I don't keep crap foods in the house so cheese and crackers was the most damage I could have done... so much for that lol. Good luck to you!
