littlerlou 7 Posted October 24, 2011 It seems the more research I do the more confused I get. Im in open enrollment period with my insurance and we are switching to BCBS. Our contract states that I have to have 40+ BMI..and no longer requires the specific time period of trying to lose..so on and so forth.. Ive already talked to my PCP months ago and she was the one who actually threw the suggestion of Lap BAND to me. That is where I started my research. Well..the hospital I chose, of course doesnt accept my CURRENT insurance. So I have to wait for the BCBS to kick in at the beginning of the year. My question is..I feel like Im in limbo. I dont know what to do or who to call next. Do I call my PCP and tell them that I want to start all the psych eval stuff right now and get it underway..or do I call the surgeons office that I want the surgery done at go through there? Im so confused!!!
Corrigan 75 Posted October 24, 2011 Look for Centers of Excellence on Google to find one close to you, (there's one in Flint), and give them a call to see if they can help you. I had such good service from them that I recommend CoEs whenever I can.
