skintyprincess 12 Posted October 23, 2011 Hi all! I just need to vent to someone that understands!! I am so frustrated with Cigna. My paperwork has been in since August 27th. They say they have 30 days to approve or deny. Everytime I call they say its in "pending" status. How long does it take? I'm sure you all have had to wait but is it just me or are they just being mean to me?? I've read on this site that people get approved in like 3 days. Or they call and they get approved over the phone. Why or why can't that happen to me?? I need all the praying banders to pray! Thanks!!
HopeThruFaith 30 Posted October 25, 2011 I so know how you feel. I have read those same post about getting approved in a matter of days. I should have known I wouldn't be that fortunate LOL. I submitted Oct 4 and have called several times and have been read the "still pending" script. I am trying to remain patient and optimistic but boy do they make it difficult. LOL Please keep us posted on your approval.
CindyBklyn 4 Posted October 25, 2011 I would recommend calling your Dr's office and have them follow-up. I was told they were the only ones that could escalate it. Got approval within a week with lots of follow-up so something is wrong. Good luck. The good news is someone from Cigna monitors this site, so expect a posting offering assistance (hopefully). skintyprincess 12 Posted October 25, 2011 Thanks everyone!! Your words of encouragement are so appreciated today. I have been an emotional wreck today! I have a small window to get this done as I am a road warrior. I have taken two weeks off work to have the surgery and recover and if I cant get the date I want I could be on the road immediately after surgery. Not what I want to do. I want to recover in my own bed at my house with friends and family around to support.
Dawn200321 146 Posted October 26, 2011 Sounds like the INS company forgot about it or "put it on the back burner" as I like to say....I would call your surgen and have them give the ins company a followup call
