betheboo 40 Posted October 19, 2011 I went for a fill today, I was still pretty tight and my doc uses fluoroscopy so I only got .5 cc's. I set up an appt to talk to the dietician while I was there and we discussed daily recommended calorie intake. I ended up fessing up to my battle with anoxeria and bulemia issues that I've been having the past few months. She initially recomended 1300 cal/day. I struggle to eat 600-800/day... The thought of eating that much really freaked me out! She was very supportive and I am going to starting working really hard to consistently eat at least 800 cal/day. Wish me luck! LB4Me 35 Posted October 19, 2011 Good for you. Really all it will take is one Protein Drink or bar. You can do it.
kll724 3,055 Posted October 19, 2011 Good luck! I know that it is hard, but as the op said, one Protein Shake or bar will do the trick. Karen
Poodlelover56 2 Posted October 19, 2011 And also, if you want to lose weight( I don't know if you are at goal), taking in so few calories works against you. Your metabolism will decrease because your body thinks it is starving. And you won't lose. Good luck.
vlp1968 83 Posted October 19, 2011 You sound ready to get healthy, following your nutritionist guidelines. Have you thought about therapy to work on your eating disorder? I think that would be a key component on your journey toward a healthy life and a healthy relationship with food. Good luck.

Dulci 108 Posted October 20, 2011 Sharing as much as you can with your medical professionals is always in your best interest. I'm happy that you were able to do that and that your nutritionist was understanding. This journey is all about becoming as healthy as you can be.
betheboo 40 Posted October 20, 2011 I am currently in therapy which has helped a lot. Starvation mode is a real thing I found out... Ate 200~300 cal/day & worked out like crazy, didn't loose a bit of weight! Started working on eating again & bam dropped 4 lbs in 5 days! The dietician said that they have encountered this in the past but that most peoe are reluctant to admit it. It's very easy to trade one type of eating disorder for another unfortunatly
