Eileenja 0 Posted February 12, 2006 I agree - that you must go for a un:clap2: fill, but - if you must vomit at work or anywhere you might try turning on the Water - that is what I have done when it became necessary - it is a distraction to the vomitting sound! Also, when people thought that i was crying because my eyes were watery fromm vomitting- i just said that i had allergies.
vinesqueen 2 Posted February 12, 2006 Jen and Collegeteacher? I hope you both have had a chance to go get an unfill. Not only is being over-filled dangerous, it is just plain miserable. I'm so sorry you both thought you should be that tight for the band to work. The band is not surgically induced bulima.
jen122277 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Thank you for all the kind words, advice and support. I talked to my doctor and he said stress was triggering these complications. I also noticed with all this weight loss that I am not as restricted now, I can't eat like I did before the fill, but I am seeing how I can portion foods out. Only when I really make bad food choices do I have PB now. I still have loads of stress, but I am learning how to deal with it.
Marimaru 7 Posted February 17, 2006 Stress will definately do it. I had to have an unfill during a particularly stressful time last year. Glad you are feeling better!
ann38 0 Posted February 20, 2006 HI MY NAME IS ANN, I HAD MY BAND 15 MONTHS AGO AS OF SATURDAY. I AGREE YOU DON'T WANT TO DO DAMAGE TO YOUR SYSTEM ESPECIALLY AROUND YOUR PORT. I HAD 3 FILLS AND 1 UNFILL MY UNFILL WAS LAST MARCH I HAD MY TONSILS TAKEN OUT LAST FEBRARY AND HAD A FILL DONE A MONTH LATER BOY THAT WAS NOT FUN I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. BUT THEY DO PUT THE FILL BACK IN BUT HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MY STOMACH SETTLED DOWN. THE UNFILL IS NOTHING DOESN'T HURT AT ALL. I PERSONALLY THINK YOU SHOULD SAY SOMETHING TO YOUR DOCTOR THAT DID YOUR LAP-BAND SURGERY. HUGS ANN BANDED 11/18/04:) :clap2:
EmileeKaye 1 Posted February 20, 2006 I also have thrown up, because the band doesn't fix the emotional eating or the "it taste good" eating. I got fat because I ate after I was full, so it has been a hard thing trying to stop when the "full" feeling comes. This is something I'm still dealing with after two years.
