newbie to banding 0 Posted October 14, 2011 I was banded on 9-16 and I am on soft foods and Monday , regular foods. My doctor has regular foods after 30 days. Well I have this fear that I am going to stretch the band and mess it up. Does anyone else feel that way? I am so paranoid. I am trying to do everything right. Also , I lost 18 pounds quiclky and now its maintained. I think thats normal until the first fill? Let me know your thoughts.

First of all, to do so, you would need enough restriction to NOT allow food to pass easily, but accumulate in the pouch. When that happens, you will know it! Feelings of being stuck, perhaps pain. It's then that you would put the fork down and wait, and in some cases, stop altogether.. If you can put up with that discomfort, and keep force feeding yourself, then your puch will stretch. Drinking Water while eating will have the same effect. More than likely you will upchuck everything.
newbie to banding 0 Posted October 29, 2011 Thank you for replying. I am glad to hear that its more difficult than I was thinking. I guess I just keep thinking of how many other diets I have messed up and was afraid I would do the same thing to this one. I have at a few settings eaten a little more than I should have so I am really going to try harder this week and ongoing. Small portions and stopping when I am satisfied. Thanks again, I feel better.
