Funny- that is something I keep asking myself. I don't want to be a size 2 - but if I keep losing I will there - about a10 11 right now

On the other hand, to me its NEVER time to stop losing weight, sigh. I really cant see how thin I am until I see a photo. For me, hitting the bottom of my healthy weight range was the sign "enough" and that I shouldnt go any lower. But I did dip a few lbs lower whilst I was sick, and I"m almost ashamed to say, I really liked it.

My ideal body type, what I wanted to achieve and what I think looks good - is thin. As long as its healthy. So its up to you.

Its entirely personal, and determined by your body type. I've seen people walking around and thought "I wish I could be as curvy and womanly as that", but they are generally people with a body type that is fairly short, but quite muscular, and they can carry a covering of fat that looks amazing - firm and curvy. I'm 5ft 10 tall and built to be skinny - any extra flesh on me does not create curves, it creates unattractive flab. I dont have the muscle to flesh it out. How does one have curvy hips and breasts yet still have firm thighs and a flat stomach? I sure cant, lol.

So I go for the elegant clothes horse look. Works for me.

I'd suggest take a good look at your body type and be honest. You cant work against it. You cant decide you want to be curvy if you're like me, staying at a size 10 just wont achieve that. Likewise if you're lucky enough to have muscles and shape, you cant decide that you want to be a swimwear model look alike. The healthy body weight range will accomodate both goals.

I try to stay around a size 8, I on the high end of normal weight. I am quite satisfied at that size. I can walk into a store pick up a size 8. Go home and it fits great! I find maintenance a hassle though. However, right now, I just had to have surgery to repair my band after slippage, so I have no fill and am on liquids, clear for a week, then full. So, I will probably end up being in a loose 8. But, I am happy at the size and weight I am. Plus. folks say I look good and any thinner I will look sick. I guess, it all depends on whether you like yourself at the size and weight you are! Good luck. Karen

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
