Will I be in so much pain that I can't,sleep?

No one can really tell you yes, or no. Everyone is different, some people are in alot of pain and for some it's minimal. I wasn't in much pain at all, most of my pain was from the gas, and I wouldn't really consider that pain, it was mostly just really annoying and uncomfortable. My incision spots really didnt hurt, my abdomen just felt like I did a million sit ups, it was that kinda muscle burn feeling you get from working out. The only other pain I had was my body being very sore from lifting myself, you'd be surprised how much we actually use our core to move ourselves around and when we can't the rest of our body has to compensate.

For me, my experience with pain as a whole was very minimal, again all of it was more so "uncomfortable" than "painful" . The worst part was not being able to sleep in my bed for the first week or so, but I had no trouble sleeping at all. It was just too hard for me to lift myself out of my bed and I was afraid of rolling over (I'm a stomach sleeper) so I opted for the couch. Don't be afraid of some pain, it's worth it, the pain won't last forever. Good luck!

Everyone is different. I had more pain than some here, but less than others. I was able to sleep just fine in the recliner but it took a couple of weeks for me to sleep in the bed (side sleeper). You should be sent home with pain meds and use them if you need them, that is what they are for. Whatever level your pain, it will start to decrease significantly around day 4 or 5 and in a couple of weeks will just be a dim memory. And it is definitely worth it.

I had very little pain. Not losing very much in the beginning was my biggest PAIN! lol

Most everyone has pain, it's surgery. They will give you meds post op as much as you need. Do not be afraid to tell them when you are in pain. It lasted for me about 5 days. They will send you home with meds and again, use them! When you cough or sneeze, hold a pillow against your chest and press, this will help. Also make sure if you have kids, out a pillow on your chest if they are on the bed in case they jump. You will be fine, its just part of the journey. Best luck and stay in touch!!!

I have had to come on here and ask about my pain because it is much more than I expected, but I had lap band and gall bladder out at the same time so i am sure that added to what I feel. My surgery was Thurs (the 13th) and I am not taking the narcotic pain meds, just tylenol, but I still do hurt quite a bit. And as with everything in life, it is all relative!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
