larpens 2 Posted October 13, 2011 I am having my first fill on Friday morning and I'm wondering if I have to fast that day? I was banded on September 8th and really excited about my first fill but I don't know if I can eat or drink anything the morning of my fill...another question, How soon can I be filled again? I heard you can have a fill every 2 weeks, is this true? I also heard that you won't feel much restriction until about the 3rd fill, is this true too? Just a bit curious to this new situation in my life. Thanks
BaileyRose 13 Posted October 13, 2011 I dont eat anything the day of my fill... Just drink. And then my doctor puts me on liquids and mushies for 24 hours. My dr also does fills once a month. I've only had one and I feel more restriction with it. But I also didn't go through bandster hell where I was hungry all the time. I didn't get a fill until 8 weeks after surgery because my weight loss slowed down. Everyone is different when it comes to fills. Some people it takes several fills and some people never even need one.
bobrocky 8 Posted October 13, 2011 I ate regularly that day. I thought he'd tell me to stay on liquids, but he told me to eat regularly after the fill. He said he didn't give me a very big fill. I don't have restriction but I can feel my food going down, which is kind of weird. Once I thought it was going to get stuck because the food just sat there a few seconds, but then it went down. ) I wasn't being as careful as I should have been.). He told me to come back for fill #2 in 2 weeks. Every doc is different.
txdiva 13 Posted October 14, 2011 I got my first fill today. I was told not to eat for at least 4 hours before my fill. Then I'm to drink liquids today & tomorrow then mushy food the next then I can slowly add the solid food.< /p>
