Raisin cereal

Recommended Posts

Are lapbanders allowed to have raisin cereals like Raisin medley honey bunches of oats? I know that the raisins may be a problem, that is why I ask.

I have never had an issure with raisins but the flakes in the Cereal are killer, they have never gone down well for me. Everyone is different, you just have to try foods and see how it works. My surgeon always said never try a new food in public. Good luck

I struggled with raisins early on but now they are not a problem.

Cereal is high in carbs and low in Protein. Kashi does make a higher protein cereal so you may want to look into that. For Breakfast I have fruited Greek yoghurt with 1/2 scoop Protein Powder, splendra, benefiber, and 1/4 Kashi high protein cereal.

It is so important to become a lable reader. Rasin ceral is not low cal or low carb. If you want this to work you have to eat the right low carb foods.
