r_martin77 2 Posted October 9, 2011 I had my surgery 6 days ago and my shoulder is killing me. Ive tried walking, heating pad, and hot shower but it doesnt seem to be getting any better and when I move around to much i get nauseas - already refilled my meds 2x. Also Ive been having what feels like spasms where the lap band is - has anyone else had this? How long until it goes away? I was planning on going back to work tomorrow but now I'm not sure if I can. Nikki M 0 Posted October 9, 2011 I had the same problem. My sternum hurt the worst. Its because when they did surgery they blow you up with gas and all your organs are moved around. The nausea comes from the anesthesia, it will pass soon. Keep walking around and get the "gas" out. I was banded July 19th and remember that pain. Mine was really bad because I had a single port incision in my belly button and it is more invasive so it was pretty painful. In a few days you will be just fine!!! Good luck!!
