Sparatic Eating

Recommended Posts

I was banded 9/14. I eat plenty of Protein each day, at least 70 grams. I have had three meltdowns where I ate Desserts and did not really pay the price. They werre meltdowns because there were uncontrolled due to anger, or emotions etc. I havenot been drinking enough Water and woried that my carb intake is two high. Anyone else like this of can give me some suggestions. I seem to be losing weight but I want to do it the right way.

Eating things like tuna, Protein shakes, soft cheese but to much sugar and carbs with faina and or desserts.

Kind of venting so thanks for listening. Any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated.

If you are losing you are prob doing a great job. Having a bit of a dessert here and there is not the end of the world.

If you find that you are eating more carbs than you would like to be then add more protien at the begining of the meal. Also, to feel fuller longer I hear that protien shakes are not the way to go, Maybe try some oatmeal with protien powder in it instead of sugar???

Never beat yourself up for a few indulgences every now and then. As hard as you work, you deserve an occasional treat. As long as you are still losing weight, you are doing something right. Just keep in mind that for every indulgence, harder work will be required. I have an occasional small bowl of ice cream or a piece of cake. I just remember to do an extra five to ten minutes exercise. It is all about moderation. Good luck to you!

Never vanquish yourself up for a few indulgences every now and then. As severe as you energy, you merit an occasional impact. As protracted as you are plant losing weight, you are doing something reactionary. Just reserve in remember that for every leniency, harder output faculty be required. I make an occasional minuscule construction of ice cream or a case. It is all virtually relief. Favourable chance to you!

Thanks for the support all. Just feels weird because I am certainly eating 75% less than normal but do not feel like the band is doing anything eventhought he doctor says that is why I am eatings so much less. I am looking forward to my first fill I guess to reassure me even though the doctor did to that everthing is working properly. I have gone from excited to grateful to scracred to nervous to sad to contentment 10 times each in no order during this ordeal. I am sure it is all worth it in the end.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
