Not sure if I'm where I am supposed to be

Recommended Posts

I was banded on June 1st of this year and so far am only down 15 pounds. I have a small band 4 cc's because I have a total of 60 pounds to lose. I am wondering if I am where I should be. I have had one fill of 1 cc. I am heading for my next fill in a couple of weeks. I am still finding I can eat a fair bit. Can anyone relate or if you have advice. I thought I would have been alot further along by now.

You have less to lose than most of us so it makes sense that you'll lose it slower than "we" do. But I'm a little worried... band size doesn't have anything to do with how much you have to lose, it has to do with the size of your stomach. And the band isn't supposed to stop you from eating anything- it's just supposed to help you feel satisfied with smaller meals, and it's supposed to help you feel satisfied for longer. Perhaps your doctor didn't properly educate you on how the band works, and how you should work with the band?

I have noticed that the people who have less to lose, lose it slower. My own daughter, has been slowly losing for almost 2 years, she is still 25-30 lbs from goal. But she is not gaining and she happy with the weight loss. She is very short, 4'11" and needed to lose about 50-60 lbs. It is taking her longer than me who needed to lose 100 lbs. Good luck, at least the scale is moving down! Karen

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
