I am in the process of swapping out my Summer Clothes for my Winter Ones.

Well I found a pair of Jeans that didn't fit about 3 weeks ago, so I thought what the heck !

Lets see if all that working out in the Gym, and Pool has helped....

O M G They fit ! YES ! down to a size 20 in Jeans, and looking Great !

Then I found a pair of Capri's that I was wearing last year, and they were getting snug.

They are a 32 W. I almost fell over twice ! First when I looked in the Mirror, and looked Good !

Then when I read the size. I had forgotten how big they were.

Well there is NO ! Looking Back ! Only Forward for the future.

For the Newbies, and Non -Believers.. This Band really does work

as long as you work it right..

I have to Celebrate TODAY !  :lightbulb::musical_note::rose::star:

A lot of emotions here...

Also I'm sure that a lot of Winter Clothes won't fit !, So I will be putting cloths,

on are clothing site.

Shirley.

:) Shirley,

Woohoo you are doing WONDERFUL  I know that it must be a real treat to get into that closet and now try on all those clothes and realize they really need to be donated to the local Goodwill because you can NO longer fit into them. They are TOO big! Way to go. Keep up all that hard work. You are an inspiration to us all and I can NOT wait to have the same experience !!

Congrats Shirley! I'm with you, I have NO winter clothes that fit, since I was banded in December this is my first winter that I'm smaller. My sister got me this beautiful coat last year for my birthday (she didn't know about me getting surgery then) and it was snug on me. I tried it on and it is to big :(. Kind of sad about it in a way because it's a beautiful coat and I would've loved to wear it and I got so little use out of it because it was a bit snug and I didn't like the way it looked when I zipped it. Oh well, I'll have to find one like it

Congratz!!! I was banded in July 2010 and well all the winter clothes i bought last year because everything I had was too big.... well guess what I gotta do it all over again. WOOHOO. ;) Don't even mind spending money on clothes anymore because the smaller clothes fit so much better than the double and triple enlargements of the original patterns. Before surgery I was in a snug size 60 pant. Last winter I had to buy a pair of 46's because i had some that I had outgrown before the surgery that now fit (48-52). Last month I bought size 36's and they are actually a little big I should have went 34's. That is just CRAZY!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
