Hey everyone. I was banded n 6/20/11 and have lost 62 lbs (including my two week pre op diet). I'm happy with my band and progress, but the last two weeks I haven't dropped any weight. I eat between 600-800 cals a day ( I can't eat anymore than this) and about 60 grams of Protein a day. I drink my Water, and I will admit I don't work out as much as I should. It's starting to get a little cooler down here, so I plan on walking every night now. I just don't know what to do. I make good choices and I don't snack. I got off my period about 2 weeks ago, but I don't know why that would make me hold on to weight. Do y'all have any advice? I need help, I don't want to fail at this. Thank y'all in advance.

Your not going to fail ! you already lost a good amount of weight.

Sometimes the body will lose weight, then stop, and you will drop inches instead.

Then the weight loss picks up, and it goes back and forth.

I sure don't call that failing....

Walking is a great Idea.

Ijoined a Gym in a Physical Rehabilitation Center. So because I have some issues... It also gets me in the Pool.

Thats 3 x a week for about 2-2 1/2 hrs. Boy am I tired when I leave... But with the massage it's worth it.

Your doing fine ! :D Keep up the Good Work.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
