roziecakes 20 Posted September 30, 2011 You are NOT a failure. Every pound is a victory. Every single step you take toward your health and well being is a victory. How good of track are you keeping of your intake and exercise? See if you're taking in more than you are burning off. How are your fills? Do you have restriction? Keeping careful track of all of these things is sometimes what you need to do to get back on track if you feel like you're falling off...
MelBanded 4 Posted October 1, 2011 I know how you feel. My surgery was March also and I have lost 31 pounds. But, I am learning that is just the way my body looses. Slow & steady wins the race. My doc is conservative with the fills as well. One of their reasons is so you can adapt to the changes in how you need to eat. It is definitely a learning process. You are doing great. lizzy2150 3 Posted October 1, 2011 33 lbs since March averages out to 1 lb. a week, which is just right for the 1-2 lbs. a week we're told we should expect to lose. Seriously, even though it's not as fast as you want it to be, it's a GREAT loss. Just keep moving forward!!!!!!
gcmy 5 Posted October 1, 2011 Hi. I was banded on 6/27/11, and the last time I went to the Dr. I had only lost 12 lbs. (I gained 5 back). I was feeling like a failure. I happened to see a picture of myself. From the waist up it was amazing. I am so motivated now, eventually I know the rest will come. Keep it up. Success is just around the corner.
