Hello, I had to travel by car for two days to get my surgery done. We live in a remote, northern location and don't have services locally. What a drive back! A lot of the drive, I was looking at different sites. I felt a little lost, not knowing what to eat, not knowing what hthe different pains I was feeling were, I think I need to keep connected with a site like this to get ongoing support. I am 35 years old, a working professional with two young daughters at home. My husband and I have a farm and I have a huge garden. My oldest daughter has started school this year. The best way to describe me since I've had kids is a zombie. I've been on auto pilot for at least the past two years and found myself 60 lbs heavier th an my heaviest weight. Im afraid of this leg of my journey, afraid I won't have th e strength to make it work. I want to be healthy for myself and my family. My dr found that I have a fatty liver during the surgery, I know that has to be corrected.

Looking forward to chatting with you, also for any food tips for these first few weeks. I was already eating the mushy foods and my dr said I could move to solids if I tolerate it.

Don't be afraid of this leg of your journey! This is the start of something great. Don't get discouraged if you don't have restriction for a while. When I was post op I still could eat anything and everything. But now, after 2 fills, I am at 8 cc's and learning what my band can & can't take. Since starting this process I am 34+ lbs down. Let the band work for you, don't eat around the band, and I know you will be successful! Keep in touch :)

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
